The village of Egypt is not older than 100 years. It has been narrated (we don’t know is it true or fake) that since the village was founded by a person named Joseph who dug a well to feed water to his sheep, the name of the village was named joseph’s farm. Joseph’s farm was later renamed into “chahe deraz” which means long well because the depth of the well that Joseph had plowed was very deep. Until Joseph, inspired by his name inspired by the story of Prophet Joseph, the village named Egypt

Shah Abbas Safavi of one the Iranian kings named this place “Maranjab”.
