Snapp app is like Uber. Snapp is an online taxi service app that let the users to request a ride to their desired destinations. Snapp is active to 140 cities in Iran. The most important cities to tourists are Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Yazd, Kerman, Tabriz which Snapp is available.

How much Snapp cost?

Snapp calculates each ride based on the distance and the rush hours. Snapp app is a little more expensive in Tehran than other cities. The minimum cost for a ride in Tehran is about 50 cents and the maximum cost is about 4 USD. The cost for a ride in other cities are much cheaper.

Tourists can experience an easier and Cheaper rides in Iran using Snapp. There are yellow caps available in every city or private taxis but Snapp is cheaper than others.

There is another app available similar to Snapp which is called Tab30. We always recommend to install both app in case you don’t find a driver in one app. 

You can install Snapp on IOS & Android

Snapp app is available on google play; But due sanction against Iran it is not available on Apple store. There is a web app version of Snapp that you could use; But it is available only in Farsi. Read below to see how you can install Snapp on your Phone.

How to install Snapp on Android  

1. You can download this app here. 
2. Click on Install and go through the process
3. Allow the app to access your location only when using app
4. click on English version 
   
5. Sign up using email address or Iranian phone number

In order to use Snapp app, you must have an tourist SIM Card otherwise you cannot request a ride. You can order tourist SIM card from here.

How to install Snapp on ios!

Unfortunately to use Snapp app on ios, you have to subscribe to third party apps and also all of them are available in Farsi. So the only option for ios user is to access the app via Web App version which is Farsi also but at least is free and easy to install.

1. Click on this link
2. Click on Share button
3. click on Add to Home Screen
4. click on Add on the top

Now you can sign up. Under the Green tab, click on the  link. On the first box put your name and the next box will be your email address and the last box will be your password. At the end click on the green bar to sign up.

In the next screen you will be asked to put your Iranian SIM card number, then a security code will be text to you. Now you are ready to request your first ride 🙂
